How are Personal Access Tokens created and administered?

Creating a Personal Access Token

To create a Personal Access Token, login to the LUSID web application and go to the “Your Profile” section of the site - or click on the following link (updating the url as appropriate for you domain): https://MyDomainName.lusid.com/app/profile.

In the section called “Personal access tokens”, you can create a token by entering a Name for the token (this is for display purposes only) and an Expiry Date (if you want the Personal Access Token to become invalid at a specific point the future).

The clicking the “Create token” button will generate you a token which will be presented to you immediately in the browser. Be sure to securely store your Personal Access Token as it is not possible to retrieve a previously issued token, and this is the only time it will be presented to you.

Once the new token has been created you will see it listed in the list of your currently active personal access tokens directly below.

Please note: You can have at most 3 active Personal Access Tokens at any time.

Revoking a Personal Access Token

To revoke a Personal Access Token, login to the LUSID web application and go to the “Your Profile” section of the site - or click not the following link (updating the url as appropriate for you domain): https://MyDomainName.lusid.com/app/profile

In the section called “Personal access tokens”, all of your currently active tokens are listed, along with the date they were created and when the are due to expire (if an expiry date was supplied on creation). Each token is accompanied by a “Revoke” button, which if clicked will immediately mark that token as inactive and it will become unusable on any LUSID service.
